Bareilly: MIT Moradabad was declared the zonal champion in the two-day zonal sports competition of Dr. Abdul Kalam Technical University. MIT players won 11 gold and 14 silver medals in various events. SRMS CET players won the runner up trophy for their college with 9 gold and 6 silver medals.
Dr. Abdul Kalam Technical University’s zonal level sports competition concluded with a colourful programme at Shriram Murti Smarak College of Engineering and Technology. SRMS Trust Advisor Engineer Subhash Mehra, Shriram Murti Smarak College of Engineering and Technology’s Dean Academics Dr. Prabhakar Gupta, SRMS CETR’s Dean Shailendra Saxena, Dr. Abdul Kalam Technical University’s DSW Professor OP Singh, Zonal Festival Coordinator Dr. Sovan Mohanty presented trophies and medals to the winners.
All the players participating in the competition were encouraged by giving them certificates. On this occasion, Director of Training and Placement Cell Dr. Anuj Kumar, Director of Pharmacy Department Dr. Aarti Gupta, Chief Proctor Dr. Jitendra Singh Yadav, Coach Nitin Saxena and Coach Shankar Pal along with all the department heads were present.
